How to rent a dumpster in Colorado Springs.
Five steps. Two of them are ours. You only really do three things: pick a spot, pick a size, and call us when it's full.
Pick the spot before you pick the bin
Walk out front and look at where the bin will actually sit. A driveway is ideal — flat, private, no permit. If the driveway is on a slope, if there's a basketball hoop or low branches over it, or if the only option is the street, tell us when you book and we'll plan the drop around it.
Street placement inside Colorado Springs city limits usually means a right-of-way permit, and some HOAs on the north side have their own rules about how long a bin can sit out front. We'll tell you which one applies to your address rather than letting you find out later.
Choose your size — or let us choose it
We run three sizes: 10, 15 and 20 yard. All three are the same footprint on your driveway — the walls just get taller — so a bigger bin doesn't cost you more space. If you're between two sizes, take the bigger one. A second haul costs far more than the twenty-dollar step up.
Describe the project on the phone — "single-car garage," "1,200 square feet of shingles," "kitchen down to the studs" — and a Dumpster Consultant will size it for you. We do this several hundred times a month in this market.
Book the delivery day
Book online with the request form or call and we'll write the order while you're on the phone. Pick your delivery date and your rental period — 3, 5 or 7 days — and add anything the driver should know: gate codes, dogs, "put it on the left side past the RV pad."
You'll get a confirmation with the price you're actually paying, and the driver calls or texts before he rolls out so you're not sitting around waiting on a window.
We deliver — and protect the driveway
Every bin goes down on boards. Our Driveway Protection System puts wood between the steel and your concrete or asphalt, which matters here — Colorado Springs driveways take enough abuse from freeze-thaw without a loaded bin sitting on them for a week.
The driver places the bin with the walk-in doors facing your work, so you're wheeling debris in instead of throwing it over the rail. Give us roughly 60 feet of straight approach and clear overhead space — no low wires or branches — and we'll do the rest. You don't need to be home.
Fill it, then call for the pickup
Load heavy material low and flat, keep everything level with the top rail, and tarp anything light if the wind is coming off the Palmer Divide — a loose sheet of insulation will end up in your neighbour's yard otherwise. Walk-in doors mean you can roll a wheelbarrow straight in.
When you're done, call or text and we'll come get it — usually the next business day. If you finish early, we'll pick it up early. If you need a few more days, tell us before the period ends and we'll extend it. The driver sweeps the area before he pulls away.
Almost nobody plans a dumpster three weeks out.
Across Bin There Dump That, 82% of rentals are requested within seven days of delivery, and close to a third of those want it the same day. That's not a scheduling problem for us — it's the normal week.
Call before mid-morning and there's a good chance a bin is on your driveway that afternoon. The demo crew found more subfloor than expected, the estate sale ended early, the roofer is coming Thursday — we've heard it, and we keep bins in the yard for exactly that.
