How Does the Dumpster Rental Process Work? A Step-by-Step Guide for East Valley Homeowners
If you’ve never rented a dumpster before, you’re not alone.
For many homeowners, a dumpster rental is something they only need once every few years – whether they’re cleaning out a garage, remodeling a kitchen, replacing a roof, or preparing for a move. Knowing what to expect can make the entire process feel much simpler.
At Bin There Dump That East Valley, we’ve designed our rental process to be straightforward from start to finish. Here’s exactly how it works.
Step 1: Choose the Right Dumpster Size
The first step is selecting the dumpster that best fits your project.
We offer three residential friendly sizes:
- 10 Yard Dumpster – Ideal for smaller home cleanouts, kitchen & bathroom remodels, construction projects, and flooring (tile, laminate, carpet)
- 15 Yard Dumpster – A great choice for medium sized home cleanouts, kitchen & bathroom remodels, construction projects, and flooring (laminate & carpet)
- 20 Yard Dumpster – Our largest option, perfect for whole home cleanouts, larger renovations, moving preparation, and kitchen/bathroom remodels
Our dumpsters are designed specifically for residential properties and measure only 10 to 11 feet long, making them much easier to fit in residential driveways than many traditional commercial dumpsters that are 22 feet long.
Step 2: Schedule Your Delivery
Once you’ve selected a size, we’ll schedule a delivery date that works for your project.
When you book your rental, we’ll ask a few simple questions, including:
- What type of project are you working on?
- What materials will you be disposing of?
- Where would you like the dumpster placed?
- When would you like it delivered?
This helps us recommend the best dumpster size and ensure everything is ready before delivery day.
Step 3: We Deliver and Protect Your Driveway
On delivery day, one of our Delivery Experts will carefully place the dumpster where it’s most convenient for your project.
Every Bin There Dump That dumpster is placed on Protective Driveway Boards, creating a barrier between the dumpster and your driveway surface. Whether your driveway is concrete or pavers, our goal is to help protect it throughout your rental.
Unlike many large commercial dumpsters that can exceed 20 feet in length, our compact dumpsters are designed for residential neighborhoods, making them a better fit for shorter driveways and many HOA communities throughout Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, and the surrounding East Valley.
Step 4: Load the Dumpster at Your Own Pace
Once your dumpster is delivered, you’re ready to begin.
Load debris as your project progresses rather than letting it pile up around your property.
Common projects include:
- Garage cleanouts
- Home cleanouts
- Kitchen remodels
- Bathroom renovations
- Flooring removal
- Roofing projects
- Moving preparation
- Yard cleanup
For the safest transportation, debris should remain level with the top of the dumpster and be distributed evenly left to right, with the heaviest material loaded to the front of the bin, opposite the doors.
Step 5: Schedule Pickup
When your project is complete (or your dumpster is full) simply let us know you’re ready for pickup.
There’s no need to haul debris to the landfill or worry about disposing of everything yourself. We’ll return, load the dumpster onto our truck, and transport the debris for proper disposal.
Step 6: We Leave Your Property Clean
One of the details homeowners appreciate most happens after the dumpster is loaded.
Before leaving, our drivers perform a sweep and magnetic cleanup around the dumpster placement area to help collect loose debris and nails that may have fallen during loading.
It’s one more way we help leave your property looking as clean as possible after your project is complete.
Why Homeowners Choose Residential Friendly Dumpsters
Not every dumpster is designed with homeowners in mind.
Large commercial containers are commonly built for construction sites and commercial projects. They’re often much longer than necessary for residential driveways and may not be practical in neighborhoods with limited parking or HOA guidelines.
Our residential friendly dumpsters are different.
With compact 10, 15, and 20 yard dumpsters, Protective Driveway Boards, sweep and magnetic cleanup, and friendly local service, we’ve built our process around making dumpster rentals simple for homeowners throughout the East Valley.
The Bottom Line
Renting a dumpster doesn’t have to be complicated.
From choosing the right size to careful delivery, convenient loading, prompt pickup, and thorough cleanup, the entire process is designed to help you spend less time worrying about debris and more time finishing your project.
Whether you’re tackling a weekend garage cleanout or a major home renovation, understanding the process ahead of time helps everything go more smoothly – and that’s exactly what we’re here for.
