Recommended size options:

6-Yard Bin
The 6-yard bin fits the most into the smallest footprint—ideal for tight downtown driveways and small-scale renovations. Great for bathroom remodels, flooring updates, and roofing jobs up to 60 bundles.
Just 5.5 ft wide and 3 ft high, it tucks between houses, slides under AC units, and still holds up to 3 pickup truck loads.
Bin dimensions: 10 ft long × 5.5 ft wide × 3 ft high

9-Yard Bin
The 9-yard bin is perfect for weekend DIYs, room-by-room renovations, and roofing jobs up to 90 bundles. Just 7 feet wide, it fits easily in tight driveways or downtown Halifax properties where space is limited.
With space for about 4 pickup truck loads, it’s ideal for kitchens, bedrooms, offices, and other small interior projects.
Bin dimensions: 9 ft long × 7 ft wide × 4 ft high

14-Yard Bin
The 14-yard bin is ideal for mid-size home renovations and remodels. It shares the same footprint as our 20-yard bin, but lower 4.5-foot walls make it easier to load heavy debris like drywall, lumber, and cabinetry.
It fits about 5 pickup truck loads—enough space for serious projects, but still easy to manage.
Bin dimensions: 11 ft long × 8 ft wide × 4.5 ft high

Frequently Asked Questions
The construction facility accepts most construction or renovation materials (like drywall, wood, yard waste), and recyclable materials (cardboard, bottles, etc.).
They also take regular garbage, but rates depend on how much of your load is construction material versus household waste.
Check out our disposal guide for more details.
They do not accept hazardous materials (chemicals, batteries, propane tanks, etc.), as well as food or pet waste.
Check out our disposal guide for more details.
Clean loads (e.g. only shingles or treated wood) cost less than mixed construction debris. If you’re able to keep materials separate, it can help reduce your overall cost.
Check out our disposal guide for more details.
A clean load includes just shingles, tar paper, and nails. To keep it clean, keep plastic wrap and packaging out of the bin. If you leave it on top, we can put it aside at the dump. If it’s mixed in, the whole load will be charged as mixed.
You can mix treated and untreated wood, but they are considered different materials, so it would count as mixed construction.
We won’t know the exact weight until we get to the dump, but a full 9-yard bin is often around 1 tonne; while a 14 or 20-yard bin is usually closer to 2 or 3 tonnes.
Weight depends on material type and how full the bin is. If you’re not sure what to expect, we’re happy to help you estimate based on your project.
